Albuquerque Trip, 2005.

Peter Y. Woo, 6/28/2005

We went to Albuquerque, New Mexico, every summer for 3 years now. The first time we were quite excited, and
Here are the pictures. You will like them.
Last week we took a train from Fullerton, Calif., near our home, at 7:30 p.m. and it arrives at ABQ (Albuquerque) at noon next day.
This is San Dia Mountains east of ABQ.

This is amazing: a freight train with some 100 cargo containers:

These are just like mountains of Utah and Arizona.

Inside Coach Car (i.e., "3rd class"). More comfortable than coach on air planes.
At ABQ station, Indians sell ornaments.
Jeremiah intensely absorbed in Game Boy.
Grandpa had trouble playing Chinese checkers with the little boy who kept on singing "I am winning, I am winning."
Rachelle, Celest, Gloria, Peter, infront of the motel, for $300 a week.
Scene of motel's parking lot. The horizon is west, the west bank of the Rio Grande river valley between us and the horizon. At night the houses were lit with lights, like Hong Kong.
More towards the left (southwest)
We like to drive 1 hour to northeast to Santa Fe. These are Navajo Indians selling things. Some are Hopi Indians.

A nice art gallery.
Center of downtown Santa Fe is a park, surrounded by tourist shops.

The following picture is an example of human stupidity: How do you cross from left corner to right corner? You must wait for two green lights and cross two of the four zebra lanes, each of which is longer than the distance between the two corners. So that will cost you 2 minutes of your life. What would Jesus do? Would he say, "Woe to you Pharisees, who laid unbearable burdens on the shoulders of the people" and then he will simply cross the street just as we would do in China. Or would he say, "Obey human authorities, e.g., the Roman government, even when they are unfair." However, he would deliberately break the Jewish interpretations of the laws of Moses, because he saw much hypocracy in their interpretation, which misled people who wanted to approach God.
Calvary Chapel there, at end of Sunday Service, which people came forward. Everyone clapped their hands to encourage them.
